Privacy Notice
Cardiff Translation Unconference (the 'event') is organised by five individual facilitators acting in a personal capacity. The facilitators ('we', 'us' or 'our') are natural persons, not a legal entity. However, there are steps we take to protect your privacy, in compliance with the applicable legislation.

If you register and pay to attend the event, we collect the following personal data from each attendee ('you' or 'your'):

We collect, process and store the above-mentioned personal data for the purpose of organising the event and sending you information about it. By voluntarily providing us with this data upon registration, you give us your consent and therefore provide us with a lawful basis to collect, process, use and store this data for such purpose.
We will not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.
How long we retain your data
We will delete your personal data within one year after the event date. We retain your personal data during this period in order to inform you about any potential subsequent edition of the event.

In order to exercise any of these rights above, please email us. We may require you to verify your identity beforehand. We will respond to you in writing within one month of receiving your request.
If you are not satisfied with the response or believe your personal data is not being processed in accordance with the law, you can raise a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Important: If you exercise any right that requires us to cease processing any of the personal data above, you will not be able to attend the conference, as such data is crucial to the functioning of the event.
